Marta Pino, PhD, is a Chartered Linguist, Editorial Translator, and Academic Editor.

After earning her Bachelor's degree in Hispanic Philology, she began her doctoral studies as a researcher in corpus linguistics at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven, Belgium). She subsequently worked for five years at the Royal Spanish Academy (Real Academia Española), where she managed the encoding processes for the CREA and CORDE language corpora. In 2000, she earned a European PhD in Hispanic Philology with a specialization in linguistics from the University of Santiago de Compostela, publishing several research papers in her field.

Upon completing a second Bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpreting at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) in 2003, she shifted her professional focus toward academic and editorial translation. Alongside her professional practice, she has taught and lectured at various institutions, including KU Leuven, UPF, and Fundación Duques de Soria. In 2007, she was certified as a Sworn Translator by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Over the course of her career, she has published more than a hundred translations of essays, fiction, and poetry for leading publishers and museums.

Since 2015, she has collaborated closely with international organizations based in Geneva, including the World Trade Organization (WTO), the International Labour Organization (ILO), the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the World Health Organization (WHO). In this capacity, she translates and edits prestigious academic publications, flagship reports, and other institutional texts for the United Nations system. In parallel with this ongoing institutional work, she founded textinnova in 2020, where she currently coordinates the editorial team.
