Editorial Translator
Marta Pino is the author of more than a hundred translations released by Spanish leading publishers and museums. She uses state-of-the-art translation memory and terminology management tools, mainly SDL Trados Studio, memoQ and SDL MultiTerm.
Marta Pino has been working as an editorial translator since 2000. She has translated literary works—fiction and poetry—by authors such as Guillaume Apollinaire, Jean de La Fontaine, Charles-Ferdinand Ramuz, Philip Kerr, Frederick Rolfe [Baron Corvo], Pier Paolo Pasolini, Alessandro Manzoni, Gustave Flaubert, etc., issued by leading publishing companies in Spain and Latin American.
She has also translated essays by classical and modern authors such as Carlo Michelstaedter, Franco Moretti, Zygmunt Bauman, Arthur C. Danto, Erich Fromm, Léon Poliakov, Howard Rheingold, Howard Gardner, Peter Gay, Michael S. Gazzaniga, Paul Ginsborg, Samuel P. Huntington, Francis Fukuyama, Joyce Carol Oats, Péter Esterházy, Russell Shorto, Barbara Tuchman, Bob Woodward, Miecke Bal, Germaine Greer, etc. on a wide range of themes and topics, mainly Art, Social Science, Philosophy, Psychology, Political Science, Neuroscience, Pedagogy, etc.
In the Art translation field, Marta Pino has done hundreds of translations of modern Art essays and texts for prestigious museums such as the MNCARS (Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía) in Madrid and the MACBA (Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona) in Barcelona, as well as exhibition catalogues, leaflets, exhibit labels, etc. She has translated texts written by Art critics and researchers such as Henry Flynt, Bieke Bal, Lynne Cooke, Alexander Alberro, Briony Fer, Suzanne Hudson, Rachel Haidu, Peter Friedl, Roger M. Buergel, Lars Bang Larsen, Liz Kotz, Frédéric Acquaviva, Kaira M.
